The Most Powerful Force in the World
The most powerful force in the world is inertia. Nature prefers constantency or slow evolutionary change. Nothing happens in nature unless a force greater than inertia acts to "shake" things up. If it weren't for inertia, we would wake up each day and find that everything we had seen the day before has been "rearranged". Instead, everything seemingly remains the same, and all noticeable changes are explainable by either the intervention of more powerful forces of nature or the interdiction of human intentions. In short, natural change is slow, and sameness is the cornerstone of nature. Nature is neutral, caring not for aesthetics nor human preferences, with change coming only on the ebb and flow of natural conditions. So, if a living, thinking creature wants change, it must act as the catalyst to supply the overwhelming force to overcome inertia. Most of the time, the force required to overcome inertia is within our personal capabilities. All it takes to overcome inertia is resolve, the willingness to exert and focus one's personal endowment against a specific form of inertia. But, it is human nature to avoid the expenditure of energy except for good reason. Thus, everything is arranged the way it is due to the lack of willingness to change it. It is just too easy to accept the status quo rather than to expend one's forces to change it
